Will it work with my booking system?
The honest answer for UK hotels, restaurants and bars, including how to check your own system in about ten minutes, and what happens if it turns out it cannot connect.
Usually, yes. If your booking system lets other software in, which most of the systems UK venues run now do, the agent can read your live availability and put the booking straight on the diary.
The deciding factor is not the agent. It is whether your system, on your plan, allows another piece of software to create and change bookings. Some do it as standard. Some do it only on a higher plan. A few do not do it at all, and when that is the case we tell you before you buy rather than after.
And if it turns out yours cannot connect, the agent still answers every call and message, still answers the questions your guests actually ask, and still takes the booking details and hands them to your team in one tidy message. You lose the automatic write to the diary. You do not lose the answered phone.
Will an AI agent work with the booking system I already run?
In most cases, yes, and nothing gets ripped out. Your booking system stays exactly where it is and stays the place your team works. The agent sits alongside it, reads what is free, and writes the booking in.
We do not publish a list of pre built connectors, and that is deliberate. It would tell you very little. Two venues on the same booking platform can have different answers, because one is on a plan that opens the system up to other software and one is not. So our team checks your actual system, on your actual plan, during onboarding, and tells you plainly what it can and cannot do.
How do I check my own system in ten minutes?
Ring whoever supplies your booking system and ask them these three questions. Their answers tell you almost everything before you talk to anyone about AI.
- Can other software see our bookings and add new ones? Some providers call this an integration, or an API. You do not need the word. You need the yes.
- Can it only look, or can it actually book? Seeing what is free is half the job. Adding the booking is the half that saves your team the work.
- Is that on our plan, or does it cost more? This is the one that catches people out. The system can do it, but not on the plan they are on.
Ask the same three about your property management system if you run a hotel, and about your till system if you run a bar or a restaurant that takes deposits.
What actually connects, and what changes when it does?
| What you run | When it is connected | If it will not connect |
|---|---|---|
| Booking system or reservation diary | The agent sees what is genuinely free and puts the booking on the diary while the guest is still on the call | It answers, captures the booking details, and sends them to your team to enter |
| Property management system | Room availability, rates and the guest's own record inform the answer | It answers from your own rooms, rates and policies, and hands anything about a specific booking to reception |
| Till system | Deposits and pre orders line up with what you already charge for | It quotes your published policy and takes the details for your team |
| Your phone line | Calls that would have rung out get answered, in your venue's voice, day or night | Nothing to connect. It answers the line you already have |
| Email inbox | Enquiries are read, sorted and answered, and the booking mail is separated from the noise | Nothing to connect |
| Website chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messages | Answered while the guest is still deciding, from the same set of answers as every other channel | Nothing to connect |
The pattern matters. Answering does not depend on your software. Adding the booking to your diary does.
Do I have to change anything I already use?
No. Nothing gets replaced and there is no new app for your team to learn. They keep working in the system they already know, and the agent works into that same system rather than beside it.
What happens when the agent cannot answer something?
You decide what it handles and what it passes on. Simple questions about parking or a dietary requirement get answered there and then. Anything sensitive, a complaint or a wedding party taking twelve rooms, goes to your team with everything the guest already said attached. And if it is unsure, it hands over rather than guesses.
If you are weighing this up properly, the seven questions to ask before you let AI answer your guests covers the rest of what to check.
How long does connecting take?
Your agent can start answering quickly, because it starts with your website, and it gets sharper as you add your own menus, rate cards and booking rules.
Connecting it to the software you already run is the slower part. Our team sets that up, and it usually takes 2 to 6 weeks depending on what you need. Most venues start answering first and connect the diary once it is ready, rather than waiting for everything before anything is live.
What does it cost?
£299 a month, and the first month is free. That is the same whether you run one venue or several, and whether you are a hotel, a restaurant or a bar.
What should I do before I speak to anyone?
Write down two things: the name of your booking system and, if you know it, the plan you are on. Then write down the three questions your guests ask most on the phone.
Send us those and we will tell you what your agent could take off your hands, and what it could not. It is a short conversation, and you will know where you stand at the end of it. If you want to find the gaps yourself first, the missed-booking audit is a 15 point check you can run on your own venue.
Frequently asked questions
Will an AI agent work with my existing booking system?
Usually yes. If your booking system allows other software to create and change bookings, the agent can check live availability and put the booking on your diary. If it cannot, the agent still answers every call and message and captures the booking details for your team to enter.
Do I need to replace my booking system, property management system or till?
No. Nothing is replaced and there is no new app for your team to learn. The agent works into the systems you already run, and your team carries on working in the system they know.
How do I check whether my booking system can connect?
Ask your booking provider three questions. Can other software see our bookings and add new ones. Can it only look, or can it actually book. Is that on our plan, or does it cost more. Those three answers tell you almost everything before you talk to anyone about AI.
How long does it take to connect to my systems?
Your agent can start answering quickly, because it starts with your website. Connecting your booking, property management or till systems usually takes 2 to 6 weeks, depending on what you need.
What happens when the agent cannot answer a guest?
It hands over to a person with the conversation attached. You set what it handles on its own and what it always passes to your team, and if it is unsure it hands over rather than guesses.
How much does Sorino cost?
£299 a month, and the first month is free. That is the same whether you run a hotel, a restaurant or a bar.
Where these answers come from
No statistics are used on this page, so there is nothing here to source. What it does contain is what we do, and where that is published on this site we have linked it.
- Setup and integration timescale. Our team configures the integrations to the software you already run, typically 2 to 6 weeks depending on your requirements. As published on our get started page.
- Pricing. £299 a month, first month free. As published on our pricing page.
- Named systems. We deliberately do not publish a list of supported booking platforms, because whether a given venue can connect depends on that venue's system and plan. We check yours during onboarding and tell you before you buy.
